This is a VSOP that you must try. At least once. You'll not regret it...worth every single penny. Now, while writing, I saw the big number of medals received by this cognac. And the bottle...great design.

It was the bottle that caught my fascination. 5/5 for the design with the beautiful rounded shape and the croix de Lorraine on it in metal. It's so rustique and elegant at the same time. I was pleasantly surprises by the cognac itself, though. It has a rounded, but slightly fiery and complex taste,...

King François 1st of France, who was born in Cognac, lived at the château in the early 16th century. By the 17th and 18th century the château, which had long been a national royal property, began to fall apart. The château was sold in 1795 to spirits merchants, Messieurs Otard and Dupuy where they began their cognac business and installed cellars. The Otard company did important restoration work in the 19th century and their occupancy has helped keep the château as a viable historic landmark. 041b061a72
